Free Minds Meeting 8-9pm Tonight @ Traddies!

Posted on April 8, 2013by

We have will have a Free Minds meeting tonight from 8-9pm in Traddies.  We will be discussing a variety of topics on mental health and our plans for the rest of the semester.  We’ve been accumulating footage of  college students who have a lot to say about mental health, and we’d love to share our insights and findings with you.  We also will be participating in the Art with Impact event later this month, so we’d love to have your support. Please check out the links below for some interesting findings from college student surveys on mental health and some statistics about mental health criminalization.
Best,
Danny and Patra

Art With Impact: Student-made Films About Mental Health

Ready to have an impact on mental health issues? On April 23 from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. in Trojan Conference Room 101 in the USC Engemann Student Health Center, Art With Impact will screen student-made short films about mental illness and lead a panel discussion. Food will be provided.

A nonprofit funded by the Mental Health Services Act, Art With Impact holds a monthly contest offering a $1,000 cash prize for short films about mental health issues. The organization then hosts events on U.S. college campuses where students, faculty and mental health professionals watch and discuss the winning films.
